Abstract

This study aims to improve the poetry writing skills of Grade VIII C students at SMP Negeri 13 Pontianak throughUthe application?of theVoutdoor learningAmethod. The researchSemployed a ClassroomaAction Research (CAR)adesign conducted in twoocycles,aeach consisting of fourastages:& observation, planning, .implementation, andareflection. Data were collected?through observation, tests, and?documentation, and analyzed both qualitatively and quantitatively. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ poetry writing skills. Learning mastery increased from 25% in thePpre-cycle. to 56.25% inICycle IIand881.25% inICycleIII, withOtheHaverage score improving from 65 to 81. The implementation of the outdoor learning method effectively enhanced students’ creativity, motivation, and the quality of their poetry writing.
