This study aims to develop a Problem Based Learning (PBL)-based Student Worksheet (LKPD) on Renewable Energy material as an effort to increase the learning interest of tenth-grade students at SMAN 1 Sungai Raya. The research method applied was Research and Development (R&D) using the 4D development model, which consists of the stages of define, design, develop, and disseminate. However, this study was limited only to the develop stage due to time constraints. The research subjects were 19 tenth-grade students. The research instruments consisted of validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and learning interest observation sheets. The validation results showed that the LKPD product received an average score of 85% from media expert validators, categorized as very feasible, and 89% from material expert validators, also categorized as very feasible. Student responses to the use of LKPD obtained an average percentage of 90%, categorized as strongly agree, while the learning interest questionnaire results indicated an increase with an average percentage of 85%, categorized as very good.
Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the PBL-based LKPD on Renewable Energy material developed in this study is valid, practical, and effective in increasing students’ learning interest.
