Bunsu Rusa is an Iban-language song that presents a mythological narrative concerning a supernatural being within the cultural tradition of the Dayak community. This study aims to describe the representation of myth, natural symbols, the relationship between humans and supernatural beings, as well as the moral values and social functions of myth contained in the lyrics of Bunsu Rusa. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach using cultural text analysis. The data consist of selected lyric excerpts containing mythological elements and cultural symbols, which are analyzed with reference to folklore and myth theories. The findings indicate that the lyrics of Bunsu Rusa represent supernatural beings as entities that coexist with humans, while natural elements such as hills and rivers are positioned as sacred and transitional spaces between the human and spiritual worlds. Furthermore, the myth functions as a medium for conveying moral values, particularly caution, obedience to customary norms, and respect for unseen forces. The popularity of Bunsu Rusa on digital media demonstrates that local myths and cultural values remain relevant and can be transmitted through popular music within the context of digital culture.
