Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Jurnal Pendidikan Bahasa undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, originality, and relevance of the published work.
Initial Screening
Upon submission, each manuscript is reviewed by the editorial team to assess its compliance with the journal’s scope, formatting guidelines, and ethical standards. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the author(s) for revision before entering the review process, or may be rejected outright.
Double-Blind Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to at least two expert reviewers in the relevant field. In the double-blind review process, both the authors’ and reviewers’ identities are kept confidential to maintain impartiality. Reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on:
- Originality and contribution to the field
- Relevance to the journal’s scope
- Soundness of research methodology
- Quality of data analysis and interpretation
- Clarity, coherence, and academic writing style
- Adherence to ethical standards in research and publication
Review Outcomes
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief will make one of the following decisions:
- Accept without revision – The manuscript is accepted in its current form.
- Minor revision – The manuscript requires small changes before acceptance.
- Major revision – The manuscript needs substantial changes and will be re-reviewed.
- Reject – The manuscript is not suitable for publication in the journal.
Revision and Resubmission
Authors receiving revision requests are expected to address all reviewer comments carefully and submit a revised manuscript within the specified deadline. A detailed response letter indicating how each comment was addressed should accompany the resubmission.
Final Decision and Proofreading
After satisfactory revisions, the editorial team conducts a final evaluation. Accepted manuscripts proceed to the copyediting and proofreading stages to ensure clarity, accuracy, and adherence to the journal’s formatting style.
Publication
The final, approved version of the manuscript is scheduled for publication in the upcoming issue and made available online with open access.
