Abstract

Menstruasi merupakan siklus alami yang terjadi pada wanita setelah mencapai usia puber. Terhadap kejadian ini terkadang menstruasi menjadi masalah. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengkaji apakah benar ini menjadikan sebuah masalah besar ketika wanita juga aktif malakukan olahraga. Perlu dilakukan kajian ilmiah berdasarkan penelitian yang sudah ada. Dengan kajian ilmiah (review) akan memberikan informasi lebih obyektif berdasar kajian penelitian yang telah dilakukan. Penelitan dilakukan dengan mencari artikel ilmiah dengan kata kunci Menstruation on sports performance. Analisis data dengan kualitatif metode PRISMA. Pencarian dilakukan di WOS, pertama diperoleh 100 artikel yang dilakukan pembatasan yaitu 10 tahun dan 71 artikel diberikan pembatasan 5 tahun terakhir. 37 artikel hanya berjenis penelitian dan akhirnya diperoleh 19 Artikel yang layak untuk dikaji dan sebagai hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa senyatanya, menstruasi terhadap wanita yang aktif berolahraga mengganggu aktivitas dan berdampak negatif terhadap performa. Selanjutnya wanita sampai membutuhkan asupan obat dan berbagai produk lain untuk mendapatkan kenyamanan.
