KEARIFAN LOKAL MASYARAKAT MELAYU DALAM MENENTUKAN HARI BAIK: KAJIAN TENTANG LANGKAH, REZEKI, ARAL, MAUT

Abstrak
Tradisi menghitung hari atau tanggal baik pada masyarakat Melayu Sungai Embau masih digunakan dalam menentukan waktu pelaksanaan berbagai kegiatan penting dalam kehidupan. Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan kearifan lokal masyarakat Melayu dalam menghitung hari baik yang berkaitan dengan langkah, rezeki, aral, dan maut. Penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa masyarakat menentukan hari baik dengan memadukan penanggalan Masehi, Hijriah, serta pengamatan terhadap tanda-tanda alam seperti perubahan cuaca dan posisi bulan. Tradisi ini digunakan sebagai pedoman dalam kegiatan bepergian, membuka usaha, bertani, menikah, dan kegiatan adat lainnya. Tradisi tersebut mengandung nilai budaya, sosial, dan spiritual serta menjadi bagian dari identitas masyarakat Melayu Sungai Embau. Oleh karena itu, tradisi menghitung hari baik perlu dilestarikan agar tidak hilang akibat perkembangan zaman.

Abstract
The tradition of determining auspicious days among the Malay community of Sungai Embau is still used in deciding the proper time for various important activities in life. This study aims to describe the local wisdom of the Malay community in calculating auspicious days related to langkah, rezeki, aral, and maut using a descriptive method with a qualitative approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results show that the community determines auspicious days by combining the Gregorian and Hijri calendars with observations of natural signs such as weather changes and moon positions. This tradition is used as guidance for activities such as traveling, starting a business, farming, marriage, and other customary events. The tradition also contains cultural, social, and spiritual values and has become part of the identity of the Malay community of Sungai Embau. Therefore, this tradition needs to be preserved so that it is not lost due to the development of modern times.
