TARI AJAT TEMUAI DATAI SEBAGAI WARISAN BUDAYA DAYAK IBAN KALIMANTAN BARAT

Abstrak
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan Tari Ajat Temuai Datai sebagai warisan budaya masyarakat Dayak Iban serta mengkaji nilai-nilai filosofis yang terkandung di dalamnya. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif melalui observasi dan wawancara dengan tokoh adat di Desa Sekedau II, Kecamatan Semitau, Kabupaten Kapuas Hulu. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Tari Ajat Temuai Datai merupakan tari penyambutan yang memiliki nilai historis, spiritual, dan sosial yang kuat. Tarian ini awalnya bersifat sakral dan digunakan untuk menyambut pahlawan perang, namun kini berkembang menjadi tari penyambutan tamu adat dan kenegaraan. Nilai-nilai yang terkandung meliputi rasa syukur, penghormatan terhadap tamu, keberanian, kebersamaan, serta pelestarian budaya. Tari ini juga relevan sebagai media pembelajaran di sekolah dasar dalam menanamkan karakter dan kecintaan terhadap budaya lokal.

Abtract
This study aims to describe the Ajat Temuai Datai dance as a cultural heritage of the Dayak Iban community and examine its philosophical values. The method used is descriptive qualitative through observation and interviews with traditional leaders in Sekedau II Village, Semitau District, Kapuas Hulu Regency. The results show that the Ajat Temuai Datai dance is a welcoming dance with strong historical, spiritual, and social values. Initially, it was sacred and performed to welcome war heroes, but now it functions as a welcoming dance for guests and official events. The values include gratitude, respect, bravery, unity, and cultural preservation. This dance is also relevant as a learning medium in elementary education to instill character and cultural awareness.
