Plagiarism Screening
Edukasi: Jurnal Pendidikan strictly enforces an anti-plagiarism policy to ensure the originality and integrity of all submitted manuscripts. Every article submitted to the journal will undergo plagiarism screening using Turnitin or equivalent plagiarism detection software.
1. Similarity Threshold
The acceptable similarity index for submitted manuscripts is below 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold will be returned to the authors for revision or may be directly rejected depending on the extent and nature of the overlap.
2. Screening Procedure
- All submissions are checked for textual similarity during the initial editorial screening before the peer review process begins.
- If plagiarism or excessive similarity is detected, the editor will notify the author and request revision or clarification.
- Repeated or deliberate plagiarism, self-plagiarism, or duplicate submission will result in immediate rejection of the manuscript.
3. Forms of Plagiarism
The following practices are considered unethical and are strictly prohibited:
- Copying text, data, figures, or tables from other works without proper citation or permission.
- Submitting a previously published manuscript (duplicate publication).
- Paraphrasing substantial portions of another work without proper attribution.
- Reusing one’s own previously published work without disclosure (self-plagiarism).
4. Editorial Action
In cases where plagiarism is identified after publication, the editorial team will follow the COPE guidelines to investigate and take appropriate action, which may include retraction of the article.
5. Author Responsibility
Authors are fully responsible for ensuring that their manuscripts are original, properly cited, and free from plagiarism in any form. By submitting to this journal, authors acknowledge compliance with the journal’s plagiarism policy.
